Representatives of local Travel Agency Association and Hotel Association networked with the participants, who went to the iconic sites represented by Angkor Wat and newly introduced attractions in Siem Reap as well. Taking advantage of the inaugurated direct flight between Beijing and Siem Reap by Air China, the visit was initiated to maximize the media exposure, and create more suitable products for Chinese tourists through setting up a platform for tour operators and local suppliers. The outbound travel from China to Cambodia witnesses a rapid growth, statistics show that the first stop visitation by mainland Chinese travelers to Cambodia reached up to 1.85 million in 2012, an increase of 52%.
